Serving not only the people of Clonakilty, but also the wider West Cork community, brothers and qualified Opticians James and John Paul Forristal are now committed full-time to the practice begun by their grandfather Jim Forristal back in 1958, and developed by their father John after he qualified in 1973.
Now a modern, fully equipped practice, Forristal Opticians provides a comprehensive eye-care service that includes sight testing, the dispensing and glazing of spectacles, and the fitting of contact lenses. This third-generation family firm is fully focused on the professional side of eye-care, including a strong commitment to providing good after care. With an eye to the current economic climate, James and John Paul are also keen to offer their services at competitive rates for their loyal and very valued clients.
The custom-built ophthalmic practice, located at 1, College Road, Clonakilty, has two fully equipped testing rooms, a modern workshop – where the staff can be seen glazing frames and tinting lenses – and a large, attractive dispensing area where over 1,000 frames are on display.
